      nd laut dem Experten, der unter dem Titel "Die Lieder des Gotteslobs" eine Z
      usammenschau in Buchform mit herausgegeben hat, zum einen eine "sehr gut fun
      ktionierende, emotionale Melodie". Zweite wichtige Eigenschaft sei ein relat
      iv offener Text. Dadurch hätten die Sängerinnen und Sänger die Möglichkeit, 
      das Lied mit eigenen Gedanken zu gestalten. Als Beispiel für so ein "perfekt
      es Kirchenlied" nannte Zerfaß den "Welthit" "Stille Nacht".<br /> <br /> Bei
       Kirchenliedern gehe es oft um die Schönheit und Innigkeit in der Beziehung 
      zu Jesus, so der Theologe. In diesem Zusammenhang nannte Zerfaß Paul Gerhard
      ts Dichtung "Ich stehe an deiner Krippe hier" als besonders eindrückliches B
      eispiel. Auch Jochen Kleppers "Die Nacht ist vorgedrungen" berühre den Litur
      giewissenschafter anhand des Zusammenspiels seiner Dichtungen und der Lebens
      umstände während der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus.<br /> <br /> Zum Durchbru
      ch verholfen hat dem Kirchenlied die Reformation, weil Martin Luther und and
      ere Reformatoren den volkssprachigen Gottesdienst etablierten. Bei diesem ve
      rstanden sie den Gemeindegesang als ganz wesentlichen Ausdruck des gemeinsam
      en Priestertums der Getauften. "Deswegen brauchte man in einem ganz anderen 
      Umfang Lieder, als das früher der Fall gewesen war", so Zerfaß. Demzufolge h
      ätten Kirchenlieder in Ländern, die von der Reformation geprägt sind, eine b
