Der bisherige Saalfeldner Pfarrer und Regionaldechant Roland R
asser trat heute sein Amt als Seelsorgeamtsleiter an. Damit ist er ab sofort
Chef von 42 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern, die sich um die Umsetzung de
r vier Grundaufträge der Kirche, Verkündigung, Caritas, Diakonie u
nd Liturgie, bemühen. Der „Offene Himmel“ und die „La
nge Nacht der Kirchen“ sind nur zwei weitum bekannte Projekte aus dem
Seelsorgeamt. Grundsätzlich werden von dieser Stelle die Pfarren und Ei
nrichtungen der Erzdiözese unterstützt.
„Ich danke Balthasa
r Sieberer für die Leitung des Seelsorgeamtes auch in schwierigen Zeite
n“, sagte Erzbischof Franz Lackner heute bei der Dekretübergabe v
or den Mitarbeiterinnnen und Mitarbeitern. Prälat Sieberer hatte 28 Jah
re die Leitung inne, im Oktober vollendet er sein 75. Lebensjahr. Auch in Zu
kunft bleibt er als Rektor des Borromäums und Koordinator des Zukunftsp
rozesses der Erzdiözese aktiv.
„Ich freue mich, dass Roland Rass
er bereit war, von Saalfelden wegzugehen und die Nachfolge von Balthasar Sie
berer anzutreten“, betonte der Erzbischof und übergab das entspre
chende Dekret. „Wir sind Gesendete im Auftrag Jesu“, wies Roland
Rasser auf die kommenden Aufgaben hin. Es werde vor allem darum gehen, Netz
werke zu bilden, sowohl nach außen als auch nach innen. Auch wenn es d
ie Erfahrungen der Vergeblichkeit so mancher Arbeit gebe, „sollten wir
nicht aufgeben, einander zu stärken und wieder neu die Netze aus

Kons.-Rat Mag. Roland Rasser wurde 1952 in Oberndorf bei Salzburg geboren und 1984 zum Diakon und 1985 zum Priester geweiht. Er wirkte zunächst als Kooperator und Religionslehrer in Saalfelden und kam 1988 als Kooperator nach Salzburg-St. Andrä. Von 1989 bis 1995 war Rasser Präfekt im Erzbischöflichen Privatgymnasium Borromäum, bevor er 1995 zum Stadtpfarrer von Saalfelden ernannt wurde. 2001 wurde er Dechant des Dekanats Saalfelden, 2011 Regionaldechant für den Lungau, Pinzgau und Pongau. Roland Rasser galt als innovativer Pfarrer, der in Saalfelden immer um gute seelsorgliche Arbeit bemüht war. Das zeigte sich unter anderem im Wohnviertelapostolat und in verschiedenen Willkommensaktionen („Gut dass es die Pfarre gibt“). Saalfelden war die erste Pfarre Österreichs mit einer eigenen PfarrApp. Im Oktober wird Rasser auch als Salzburger Dompfarrer eingeführt.
