       Kloster wieder auf, jetzt erstrahlt es und lockt BesucherInnen an. Zu Oster
      n 2006 zog er endg&uuml;ltig in das Kloster auf Korfu, wo er seither lebt un
      d griechisch-orthodoxer Abt ist.&nbsp;
Man nimmt an, dass rund um 1.500 ein
       t&uuml;rkischer Prinz das Kloster baute, nachdem er eine Vision hatte und d
      ie&nbsp; Marienikone in einem Myrtenstrauch sah. Deshalb auch der Name den d
      as Kloster tr&auml;gt. &bdquo;Die Myrthenikone ist eine der 70 Ikonen von Lu
      kas und wird am 24. September in Korfu gedacht,&ldquo; sagt&nbsp; Vater Dani
      el.
Ein Gro&szlig;teil des Klosters in seiner jetzigen Bauweise entstand er
      st im 19. Jahrhundert. Vater Daniel, der auch Deutsch spricht, da er in D&uu
      ml;sseldorf geboren wurde und dort aufwuchs, lebt alleine im Kloster. Naja, 
      fast. Viele Katzen, Pfaue, Kaninchen, Ziegen und andere tierische Freunde le
      isten ihm Gesellschaft. Mit minimalen finanziellen Mitteln und der gelegentl
      ichen Unterst&uuml;tzung von jungen Menschen aus Russland, Deutschland, Pole
      n, oder Serbien baut Vater Daniel immer wieder um. &bdquo;Die alte &Ouml;lm&
      uuml;hle wurde restauriert und man kann sie besichtigen&ldquo;, sagt er. Sel
      bst produziert er auch &Ouml;l, allerdings maschinell. Es ist ihm ein gro&sz
      lig;es Anliegen sich damit selbst zu versorgen. Eine weitere Aufgabe des Abt
      s ist es, sich um die Flora und Fauna zu k&uuml;mmern. &bdquo;Ich arbeite se
      hr viel, aber es ist eine&nbsp; sehr sch&ouml;ne Besch&auml;ftigung.&ldquo; 
      Mit dem Gef&uuml;hl, eine Zeitreise gemacht zu haben, verl&auml;sst man das 
      Kloster, Vater Daniel wird immer kleiner und das Kloster liegt hinter einem;
