ete an die Präsidentin und ihre beiden Vizepräsidenten: „Dan
ke an das gesamte Präsidium für die vergangene Periode. Ich
bin froh, dass die Arbeit in unserer großen Laienorganisation gut weit
ergeführt wird“, so Erzbischof Lackner.

räch kommen</h3>
Die Katholische Aktion müsse der Polarisierung i
n der Gesellschaft entgegenwirken. Das nennt Elisabeth Mayer, die (wiedergew
ählte) Präsidentin der Katholischen Aktion, als dringende Aufgabe
der offiziellen Laienbewegung in der Erzdiözese Salzburg. Es gelte Gele
genheiten zu schaffen, in denen Menschen unterschiedlicher Herkunft, Weltans
chauung und politischer Präferenz miteinander ins Gespräch kommen.
Die KA-Präsidentin erinnerte an die Tagung „Der Beitrag d
es Christlichen zu einer lebenswerten Gesellschaft“ mit der Theologisc
hen Fakultät im Mai. „Solche Treffen und Orte werden dringe
nd gebraucht in einer Zeit, in der es zusehends schwieriger ist, in zentrale
n Fragen Kompromisse oder sogar einen Konsens zu finden.“
Eine Chance
zu vielen Gesprächen sehe sie auch in den Bibeltagen 2020, bei denen G
astgeberinnen und Gastgeber kleine Gruppen versammeln werden. „Viellei
cht entdecken wir neue Chancen in spontanten Zusammenkünften. Wir werde
n’s überlegen und ausprobieren.“

Sie stehen somit drei weitere Jahre an der Spitze der größten katholischen Laienorganisation in der Erzdiözese Salzburg.
Erzbischof Franz Lackner gratulierte und überreichte im Bildungszentrum St. Virgil die Dekrete an die Präsidentin und ihre beiden Vizepräsidenten: „Danke an das gesamte Präsidium für die vergangene Periode. Ich bin froh, dass die Arbeit in unserer großen Laienorganisation gut weitergeführt wird“, so Erzbischof Lackner.
Miteinander ins Gespräch kommen
Die Katholische Aktion müsse der Polarisierung in der Gesellschaft entgegenwirken. Das nennt Elisabeth Mayer, die (wiedergewählte) Präsidentin der Katholischen Aktion, als dringende Aufgabe der offiziellen Laienbewegung in der Erzdiözese Salzburg. Es gelte Gelegenheiten zu schaffen, in denen Menschen unterschiedlicher Herkunft, Weltanschauung und politischer Präferenz miteinander ins Gespräch kommen.
Die KA-Präsidentin erinnerte an die Tagung „Der Beitrag des Christlichen zu einer lebenswerten Gesellschaft“ mit der Theologischen Fakultät im Mai. „Solche Treffen und Orte werden dringend gebraucht in einer Zeit, in der es zusehends schwieriger ist, in zentralen Fragen Kompromisse oder sogar einen Konsens zu finden.“
Eine Chance zu vielen Gesprächen sehe sie auch in den Bibeltagen 2020, bei denen Gastgeberinnen und Gastgeber kleine Gruppen versammeln werden. „Vielleicht entdecken wir neue Chancen in spontanten Zusammenkünften. Wir werden’s überlegen und ausprobieren.“
Auf Österreichebene macht sich die KA unter anderem stark für eine ökologische Steuerreform, schon vor „Fridays for future“, und unterstützt auch das Klimavolksbegehren.
Elisabeth Mayer, 1956 in Salzburg geboren, studierte Publizistik und Geschichte an der Universität Salzburg. Als Journalistin war sie ab 1974 für die SVZ, das Rupertusblatt und von 1990 bis 2014 im Aktuellen Dienst des ORF Landesstudios tätig. Ehrenamtlich ist sie Pfarrgemeinderatsobfrau in Puch. Seit Juli 2017 hat sie in der KA das Amt der Präsidentin inne.
Gunther Mackinger, geboren 1956 in Salzburg, war unter anderem Verkehrsdirektor der Salzburg AG, Leiter des Obusbetriebs der Salzburger Lokalbahnen und Geschäftsführer der SalzkammergutBahn GmbH St. Wolfgang. Er ist Träger des Goldenen Verdienstzeichens des Landes Salzburgs, des Goldenen Ehrenzeichens für Verdienste um den Salzburger Tourismus und seit März mit dem Salzburger Stadtsiegl in Gold ausgezeichnet. Mackinger ist verheiratet und hat drei erwachsene Kinder.
Johannes Huber ist 1966 in Altenmarkt im Pongau geboren und hat nach der Matura eine Ausbildung zum Vermögensverwalter und Bilanzanalysten abgeschlossen. Nach seiner Tätigkeit als Bankangestellter, Abteilungsleiter und späterer Geschäftsführer der Vermögensverwaltung im Raiffeisenverband Salzburg ist er seit 2008 im Bereich Private Banking tätig. Er ist Betriebsratsvorsitzender im Raiffeisenverband. Huber ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder.
