<h2>Ein
      e novellistische Skizze</h2>
<p>Anton Tschechow stellt in seiner novellisti
      schen Skizze „In der Osternacht“ die Schilderung der kommerzialisierten Fest
      tagsfeierlichkeiten eines Klosters der schmerzlichen Gottessehnsucht eines M
      önches gegenüber. Im Zentrum der Geschichte steht die Begegnung des Erzähler
      s mit dem Laienbruder, der in der Osternacht als Fährmann eingesetzt ist, um
       die&nbsp;Besucher über den Fluss zur&nbsp;Klosterinsel&nbsp;zu bringen.&nbs
      p;Während der Erzähler an den turbulenten Feierlichkeiten teilnimmt, wartet 
      der Laienbruder vergeblich auf seine Ablösung. Im Morgengrauen treffen die b
      eiden Männer wieder aufeinander - der eine nüchtern und abgeklärt, der ander
      e trotz seiner Enttäuschung voller Gottvertrauen.</p>

Neben dieser subtilen Art und Weise wie Stefan Dehler und Christoph Huber die Novelle „inszenierten“ und ihrer beeindruckenden schauspielerischen Leistung begeisterte vor allem Elisabeth Möst mit expressiver Musik u. a. von Sigfried Karg-Ellert (Sonate op. 140), Olivier Messiaen, Arvo Pärt. Musik, die, wie auch Ausschnitte aus Paganinis Capricen oder Joachim Andersens Etüde op. 24/1 zeigten, besonders tiefgehend auf den Text eingingen und nicht bloß verbindende Töne bereitstellte, sondern die Idee der Geschichte raffiniert ergänzte. Vor allem Thomas Daniel Schlees Zyklus „Lob des Wassers“ op. 44, der in seiner musikalisch spirituellen Herangehensweise an Bibelzitate an die großen Werke seines Lehrers Olivier Messiaen erinnert und dennoch eigene Wege beschreitet, passte wie dafür geschaffen.
