<p>Kein internationaler Vertrag oder Menschenrechtsvertra
      g kenne ein "Recht auf Abtreibung" und sehe eine damit einhergehende Verpfli
      chtung der Mitgliedsstaaten vor, bekräftigte Lackner die jüngste Erklärung d
      er österreichischen Bischöfe zum Thema. Der Matic-Bericht ignoriere die schw
      ierige Situation schwangerer Frauen in Not oder Konfliktsituationen und klam
      mere das Lebensrecht ungeborener Kinder aus.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Die Gesetzgebung 
      zu Abtreibung und anderen ethischen Fragen falle in den Bereich der Autonomi
      e der einzelnen Mitgliedsstaaten der Union, erinnerte der Bischofskonferenz-
      Vorsitzende mit Blick auf die am Donnerstag mit 378 zu 255 Stimmen bei 42 En
      thaltungen im Europäischen Parlament beschlossene Resolution. "Es ist aber h
      öchst besorgniserregend, dass in einer solch sensiblen Frage, die in die Kom
      petenz und Verantwortung der Mitgliedsstaaten fällt, ein derartiges politisc
      hes Signal vom Europaparlament ausgeht", betonte Lackner. "Europa braucht ei
      n klares Ja zum Leben, ein Ja zur werdenden Mutter und ein Ja zum ungeborene
