Solidarisch bleiben
Der Vorsitzende der Bischofskonferenz bekräftigte im Interview auch einmal mehr den Appell der Bischöfe, in der Hilfe für die Opfer des Krieges in der Ukraine nicht nachzulassen. - Lackner wird Mitte Juli gemeinsam mit dem steirischen Bischof Wilhelm Krautwaschl in die Ukraine reisen, um ein Zeichen der Solidarität zu setzen. - Zugleich dürfe diese Hilfe nicht den Blick auf weitere Krisen in der Welt verstellen. So drohe etwa im Nahen Osten aufgrund der Getreideausfälle aus der Ukraine eine Hungerkatastrophe. Auch mit dieser Thematik hätten sich die Bischöfe befasst, nachdem etwa das in Linz ansässige Hilfswerk "Initiative Christlicher Orient" zuletzt darauf mehrmals aufmerksam gemacht hatte, wie Lackner sagte. Auch andere brennende Fragen wie der Klimawandel, Migration oder auch die aktuellen Teuerungen hätten die Bischöfe bewegt.
Auf die Pandemie und die zuletzt wieder stark steigenden Infektionszahlen angesprochen, betonte der Vorsitzende der Bischofskonferenz wörtlich: "Wir sind wachsam." Die Kirche werde, wie auch schon bisher, ihren Beitrag zur Eindämmung der Pandemie leisten.
