kstein wird im Jubeljahr renoviert. Sie steht über der alten Knappensie
dlung im Talschluss von Böckstein. Die Ortschaft entstand als Bergbausiedlun
g und ist eng mit der Geschichte der Erzdiözese Salzburg verbunden. Bereits
im 14. Jahrhundert begann der organisierte Gold- und Silberbergbau und die F
ürsterzbischöfe von Salzburg förderten Siedlungen und bauten kirchliche Stru
kturen auf.</p>
<p>„Die Kirche war das geistliche Herz der Montansiedlung“,
erzählte Pfarrassistentin Birgit Palzer-Mayer, während sie die Fresken der
Kirche betrachtet. „Die Menschen sind hierhergekommen, um Trost zu finden –
vor jeder Schicht, nach jedem Unfall, in jeder Krise.“ Und eine solche Krise
soll auch zum Baustart der Kirche geführt haben. Die Entstehungsgeschichte
Böcksteins ist eng mit der Lawinenkatastrophe von 1741 verbunden. Als Folge
der Zerstörung wurde eine neue Siedlung am sicheren Standort des heutigen Al
tböckstein errichtet. Dort entstand später auf einem Kegel auf Initiative vo
n Fürsterzbischof Sigismund III. Christoph von Schrattenbach die heutige Kir
che, die 1767 eingeweiht wurde.</p>
<h2>Im Schutz der Gottesmutter</h2>

>Der sakrale Raum wirkt gleichzeitig schlicht und erhaben. Die barocken Elem
ente – der Hochaltar, die zarten Deckenmalereien – sind Zeugnisse einer Zeit
, in der die spirituelle Versorgung der Bergleute zentraler Bestandteil des
sozialen Zusammenhalts war. Viele Böcksteiner Familien erzählen noch heute,
dass ihre Vorfahren vor jedem gefährlichen Arbeitsgang kurz in die Kirche gi
ngen, um sich unter den Schutz der Gottesmutter zu stellen.</p>
<p>Besonder
e Verehrung gilt in Böckstein dem Gnadenbild „Mutter vom Guten Rat“, eine Ko
pie des berühmten Bildes aus Genazzano (Italien). Es zeigt Maria in inniger
Zuwendung zu ihrem Kind – keine dramatische Geste, kein Prunk, sondern ein B
lick, der Geborgenheit schenkt.</p>

Geistlicher Mittelpunkt
Seit einiger Zeit läuft eine umfassende Renovierung, die das Gotteshaus bis 2026 in mehreren Etappen erneuern wird. Jede Holzfläche, jedes Fresko, jede Figur verweist auf Jahrhunderte – und wird zugleich für kommende Generationen bewahrt. „Es ist mehr als eine Baustelle. Es ist eine Verantwortung“, sagte Palzer-Mayer. „Wir erhalten nicht nur ein Stück Architektur, sondern den geistlichen Mittelpunkt eines ganzen Ortsteils.“
Eine wichtige Phase wurde bereits beendet. „Kanzel und Hochaltar erstrahlen nach unzähligen Stunden Arbeit von Heidi Weixler-Unterer und ihrem Team in neuem Glanz“, lobte die Pfarrassistentin das Engagement und die Liebe zum Detail der Restauratoren. Versteckt unter der Wandverkleidung wurde im Zuge der Renovierung sogar ein lateinisches kleines Glaubensbekenntnis gefunden. Trotz der Arbeiten kommen Menschen mit der Botschaft des Heiligen Jahres in Berührung. „Rund um den Pfarrhof, auf unseren Fenstern schaffen wir Raum für Impulse. Wir laden ein, sich zu fragen: Wo finden wir eigentlich Gott in unserem Leben.“
Advent- und Weihnachtszeit
