esellschaft) vertreten; die Geistlichkeit war u. a. mit Erzabt Korbinian Bir
nbacher und Erzpriester Dumitru Viezuianu (rum.-orth. Kirche) präsent. Fün
f konkrete Entwürfe der Studierenden der FH Kuchl wurden im Detail vorgeste
llt.</p>
<p><strong>Antiziganismus weit verbreitet</strong></p>
<p>Im Ansc
hluss an die Präsentation der Studierendenentwürfe folgte ein moderiertes
egger (SPÖ) wies auf den europaweit grassierenden Rassismus gegen Roma und
Sinti hin, der besonders in den östlichen Nachbarländern tief verwurzelt s
ei und den Angehörigen dieser Volksgruppe kaum Chancen auf ein würdiges Le
ben biete. Er zitierte die österreichische Schriftstellerin und Künstlerin
Ceija Stojka (1933 – 2013), selbst angehörige der Lovara-Roma: „Wir wa
ndern nicht – wir werden gewandert.“</p>
<p>Alina Kugler (Friedensbüro
) verwies auf die oft gewaltsame Umsiedlung und Vertreibung der Notreisenden
auch in Salzburg; Roma würden sich teilweise bewusst unsichtbar machen, au
s Angst vor Benachteiligung. Die Akzeptanz dieser Menschen habe sich zwar ve
rbessert, sei aber nach wie vor in der Zivilbevölkerung gering.</p>

Vizebürgermeister Dankl sprach seitens der Stadtpolitik Dank für die Ideen

Erzbischof Franz Lackner lud gestern Nachmittag zur Präsentation des Projekts „Stadtboxen“ in das Bischofshaus am Kapitelplatz. Durch die Idee soll Notreisenden auf Salzburgs Straßen eine sichere Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit für ihre Habseligkeiten geboten werden. Seitens der städtischen Politik und Institutionen waren u. a. Bürgermeister-Stellvertreter Kay-Michael Dankl, Christian Stadler (Stadtgärten), Bernhard Paradeiser (Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft) vertreten; die Geistlichkeit war u. a. mit Erzabt Korbinian Birnbacher und Erzpriester Dumitru Viezuianu (rum.-orth. Kirche) präsent. Fünf konkrete Entwürfe der Studierenden der FH Kuchl wurden im Detail vorgestellt.
Antiziganismus weit verbreitet
Im Anschluss an die Präsentation der Studierendenentwürfe folgte ein moderiertes Gespräch zur Frage der Situation der notreisenden Roma und der Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten des Projekts. Landeshauptmannstellvertreter a. D. Wolfgang Radlegger (SPÖ) wies auf den europaweit grassierenden Rassismus gegen Roma und Sinti hin, der besonders in den östlichen Nachbarländern tief verwurzelt sei und den Angehörigen dieser Volksgruppe kaum Chancen auf ein würdiges Leben biete. Er zitierte die österreichische Schriftstellerin und Künstlerin Ceija Stojka (1933 – 2013), selbst angehörige der Lovara-Roma: „Wir wandern nicht – wir werden gewandert.“
Alina Kugler (Friedensbüro) verwies auf die oft gewaltsame Umsiedlung und Vertreibung der Notreisenden auch in Salzburg; Roma würden sich teilweise bewusst unsichtbar machen, aus Angst vor Benachteiligung. Die Akzeptanz dieser Menschen habe sich zwar verbessert, sei aber nach wie vor in der Zivilbevölkerung gering.
Politik und Institutionen kündigen Unterstützung an
Vizebürgermeister Dankl sprach seitens der Stadtpolitik Dank für die Ideen und die Initiative aus und kündigte entschlossenen Einsatz zur Verbesserung der Situation an. Er selbst habe bereits erlebt, wie erschreckend normal vielen die Lage der Obdachlosen mittlerweile erscheine. Im „Hintreten auf die Armen“ zeige sich eine „Nähe des Menschen zur Barbarei.“
Christian Stadler, Amtsleiter der Stadtgärten, zeigte sich erfreut über den Startschuss und zuversichtlich, dass durch das Projekt die Situation verbessert werde. Mit den Notreisenden gebe es keine Probleme. Auch Bernhard Paradeiser signalisierte für die Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft Bereitschaft und Zuversicht für die Umsetzung der Vorschläge.
Erzbischof Lackner hielt abschließend fest, dass der Einsatz der Kirche für die Armen ein breites „Koalieren“ vieler Stellen ermögliche. Er dankte den Initiatoren Herbert Müller und Günther Jäger, den Studierenden, allen Beteiligten und Anwesenden für den Einsatz. Die Kirche wisse sich zuständig für die Armen und werde sich hier in jedem Fall weiter einbringen.
Projekt für sichere und wetterfeste Aufbewahrung
Die Idee einer permanenten und sicheren Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit für Gepäck und Habseligkeiten von Obdachlosen wurde auf Initiative von Herbert Müller (Obdachlosenseelsorge) und Günther Jäger (KHG) zwischen Universitätspfarre, der diözesanen Wohnungslosenseelsorge und dem Studiengang „Holztechnologie & Holzbau“ der FH Kuchl entwickelt (unter Leitung von Monika Tropper-Grinschgl und Michael Ebner). Die Boxen sollen verschließbar und wetterfest sein und sich in das Stadtbild einfügen, zunächst im Furtwänglergarten neben der Kollegienkirche. Die Entwürfe der Kuchler Studierenden sind noch bis Ende Juni während der täglichen Öffnungszeiten des Bischofshauses im Foyer öffentlich ausgestellt.
